Jerry Jarvis, Grace Kelch, Roberta Lake & Gabrielle Piazza
Jerry Jarvis, Grace Kelch, Roberta Lake and Gabrielle Piazza comprise the Fall 2012 Apprentice Class. Together with veteran apprentices Lauren Branstetter, Anthony Morton and Katherine Nelson, these enthusiastic young people are taking the first steps in their professional theatrical careers. Jerry and Grace joined the team this past July, and Roberta and Gabrielle came on board in late August. From running the box office windows, to operating the light board, building sets and cleaning toilets, they are an integral part of the PRTC.
Now that they've had some time to get used to the apprenticeship, we asked them to tell us some fun facts about themselves...
JERRY JARVIS...
...is from Novi, Michigan and earned his BA in Communications from Grand Valley State University.
... is an aspiring filmmaker and specifically loves to edit film and write screenplays.
...studied Chinese philosophy and Asian literature in Shanghai his final semester of school. He can't wait to go back.
...enjoys reading, rock climbing, playing the piano and painting in his free time.
GRACE KELCH...
...is from Ann Arbor, Michigan and earned her BA in Theatre Arts from Eastern Michigan University.
...loves to read anything she can get her hands on, particularly fantasy and historical fiction.
...wishes she could live somewhere that was fall year-round.
...finds turkey to be the least appealing part of Thanksgiving.
ROBERTA LAKE...
...is from Mustang, Oklahoma and earned her BA in Theatre from the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma.
...loves doing woodcarving.
...is a green belt in Karate.
...can read braille.
GABRIELLE PIAZZA...
...is from Vassar, Michigan and earned her BA in Musical Theatre and Mathematics from Adrian College.
...is obsessed with shoes, particularly cute high heels.
...would live in Spain if she could.
...made her musical theatre debut as Cinderella's ugly stepsister in 5th grade.
