Auditions
General Auditions
- General auditions for the 2008 / 2009 season have been completed. Dates for the 2009/2010 season will be posted when available.
- Auditions are by appointment only. Please call the PRTC Administration Office to make your appointment; office hours are Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Actors should prepare one comic monologue of one minute in length. Actors may be asked to perform an additional monologue or sing at their audition depending on specific casting needs.
- A headshot and resume with current contact information is required.
Callbacks
- No callbacks are currently scheduled. When callbacks are scheduled, sides will be available for download here.
- Callbacks for individual productions are by invitation only. Phone inquiries regarding invitations to callbacks are not necessary; actors will be informed by phone if they are invited to callbacks after general auditions and prior to the day callbacks are scheduled.

- Audition announcements for this and other fine local theatres may be heard on the Metro Detroit Area Equity hotline at 248-788-6118.
- Primary and understudy roles for the entire season are cast from our general auditions and subsequent callbacks.
- We are an Actors' Equity Association member theatre. This means that our actors are paid, work under contract and have the opportunity to earn an AEA card. Pay rates depend on roles and annual budgeting as well as our AEA contract level, which is currently SPT 7.
- Non-union actors are always welcome! Prior acting experience and/or class participation is strongly recommended but not required.
- For most roles, actors must be at least 18 years of age. When youth actors are needed, this information is included in audition announcements.
