Hotel
suites usually have the basic necessities of a bed, telephone, ice
bucket and, perhaps, a Bible inside a chest of drawers. However,
in the World Premiere of Dennis E. North's hilarious new comedy,
Let
It Be, directed by Guy Sanville, one out-of-the ordinary hotel
suite contains 14 diverse characters and their surprising blend of
hopes, aspirations and passionate desires.
During the course of ten vignettes, a tale of humor, drama, love and laughter unwinds as the characters chase their dreams and keep the audience guessing as to what will happen next.
Portrayed by an ensemble cast of seven performers, including Michael Del Sordo, Milica Govich, James Kuhl, Jim Porterfield, Robin Lewis-Bedz, Tom Whalen and Inga R. Wilson, Let It Be was presented for an eight-week limited engagement from July 11 through August 31, 2002.
The summer production of Let It Be reunited playwright Dennis E. North with Purple Rose Artistic Director Guy Sanville. The two artists previously collaborated on the award-winning Purple Rose production of Orphan Train: An American Melodrama in 2001.
