Sheila Duane is a community college writing instructor, playwright, and an alumnus of the Downtown Urban Arts Festival NYC. Her plays, The Palmist, The Loom, Restoration Parts, and Extrajudicial have been part of the festival for the last six years. Two of her short plays, “Waiting for Gordie” and “The Encyclopedia”, have been published in anthologies. Her plays have also been produced at the JSAC in Ocean Grove, in Long Branch, Middletown, and Maplewood, NJ, in Florida with Femuscripts, at the Magnetic Theater in North Carolina, and in La Jolla, CA as part of the Love 15 Festival. “The Caddie,” a play inspired by the late actor, Mick Muldoon, premieres at The Purple Rose in the New Works Comedy Fest.
