Born in Michigan, Bello is happy to again call the mitten his home, after spending time in NYC and central Florida. In his professional theatre career, he has worked as an actor in full productions with Flint Repertory Theatre, Detroit Repertory Theatre, Jewish Ensemble Theatre, Theatreworks USA, Plowshares Theatre Company, Poetic Theater Productions and the Clinton Area Showboat Theatre. Recently, he appeared as Will in Green Day’s American Idiot at Flint Repertory Theatre. Other favorite roles include Caleb in the world premiere of Rain On Fire (Flint Repertory Theatre), The Emcee in Cabaret (JET), SkippyJon in SkippyJon Jones (Theatreworks USA), Luke in Altar Boyz (Clinton Showboat), Aldolpho in The Drowsy Chaperone (Clinton Area Showboat Theatre), Melchior in Spring Awakening (Western Michigan University), and Rocky in The Rocky Horror Show (Western Michigan University). Bello has participated in multiple developmental readings, including a staged reading of Tectonic Theater Project’s Carmen at The Guggenheim Museum, as well as staged readings at Flint Repertory Theatre’s New Works Festival of The Moon and The Sea by Douglas Lyons and Creighton Irons and Makoce by Larissa FastHorse. Bello can be seen in a supporting role on the first season of the BET+ dark comedy, Average Joe (now streaming on Netflix). He has appeared in numerous advertisements on camera and via voiceover, and he has worked as a vocalist for Viking Ocean Cruises, Busch Gardens Williamsburg, and Cedar Point. Bello is an alumnus of the Detroit Waldorf School, Cranbrook Kingswood Upper School, and Western Michigan University. He is proudly a member of Actor’s Equity.
