Mushroom Foraging

Journey into the world of mushrooms around the Chelsea / Waterloo area with a state-certified wild mushroom expert!
You and three other people will join Jay Zatkovich, The Forageolist, on a guided 4-hour tour during the 2026-2027 season to learn how to confidently identify and harvest mushrooms. Afterwards, enjoy a prepared tasting of the mushrooms you collected.
- Participants should be able to hike up to 2-3 miles and will need to provide their own appropriate hiking attire. While this experience can accommodate all levels of ability, the most fun happens off the trail.
- Additionally, select mushrooms are seasonal; you and Jay will discuss your preferred mushroom season catered to your tastes and determine the best time to complete the experience based on weather.
