Jim has worked at the Purple Rose since 1996. He’s acted and understudied in over 20
productions. Favorite roles include Pop Soady in Escanaba in da’ Moonlight and John Locke in
Gravity. He also enjoyed playing various characters in Leaving Iowa. Playing Honus Wagner in
Honus and Me was gratifying. Jim is most thankful to the Purple Rose.
Jim recently founded a non-profit, The Northville Tree Champions, dedicated to tree preservation, planting and education. Trees are the answer, or at least an important part of it.
