Originally from Grand Rapids, MI, Owen received his MFA in Acting from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, as well as his BFA in Acting for the Stage & Screen at Azusa Pacific University in California. He has performed at The Encore Theatre, The Barn Theatre, and The Clarence Brown Theatre.
