Sarab has been a part of The Purple Rose Theatre in one aspect or another since 1994 and is so proud to be a Resident Artist. In addition to her work at The Purple Rose, Sarab has performed in numerous other equity theaters in Michigan. Select productions include Blanche in A Streetcar Named Desire and Death of a Salesman at Flint Repertory Theatre, Baba (one-woman show), Be Here Now, Heather Raffo’s 9 Parts of Desire (one-woman show), and Silent
Sky at Williamston Theatre, English, A Comedy of Tenors, and Don’t Dress for Dinner at Tipping Point Theatre, Falling and Luce at Meadow Brook Theatre, and God of Carnage and Sonia Flew at the Performance Network. Sarab also directed Arabic to English at Theatre Nova. Sarab is also a proud member of SAG/AFTRA and has done extensive voiceover work and performed in film and television. Select film credits include: Ghostlight, Unseen, Stone (with Robert DeNiro), Happiest Season, Conviction, Trust, Block Party, The Giant Mechanical Man, Won’t Back Down, Secrets in the Walls, Lovestruck the Musical, Supersucker (with Jeff Daniels) and episodes of Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, Detroiters, and Low Winter Sun. In addition to her acting, Sarab is also a part-time school social worker in the Rochester School District.
