Shelby Newport is a professor of theatre and chair at the University of Michigan-Flint. She received her M.F.A. from Purdue University and completed her undergraduate studies at Cornell College. She designs regionally at Tipping Point Theatre, Detroit Public Theatre, Flint Repertory Theatre and Purple Rose Theatre Company (see credits below). Her designs have been seen internationally in London and Margate, England.
