We are teaming up with Cascades Humane Society this summer to help animals find their forever homes!
The idea was inspired by our summer comedy, Bert & Trixie Visit the Vet, by Matt Letscher. Four pets in a veterinarian’s waiting room plan an escape when they begin to suspect one of them is in danger. A comedy about what it means to truly be free. The production runs June 20 through August 31.
On the lawn next to the theatre, Cascades Humane Society will have dogs and/or cats ready for adoption.
WHEN: Thursdays, July 3, 10, & 24 and August 7, 14, & 28 at 4:30-6:30pm
Same-day, on-site adoptions are available for those who do not currently have pets in their home. Those with pets in their home already can reserve animals and schedule an in-home visit.
Cascades Humane Society Policies:
- Application Process: All potential adopters and visitors must complete an application.
- Veterinary Checks: We verify current pets are spayed/neutered and up-to-date on vaccines.
- Identification: Address must match residence address on valid ID.
- Landlord Approval: Renters must provide proof that pets are allowed.
- Meet & Greets: Required for dogs if you have other dogs at home. Proof of rabies vaccination required.
- In-Person Visit Required: Animals cannot be placed on hold unless you have come in and met them.
- End of Next Business Day Hold: A $25 non-refundable hold fee is required to place an animal on hold. This fee will be applied toward the adoption fee if you choose to move forward. Why the Hold Fee? While an animal is on hold, it cannot be adopted by others — so we ask for a firm commitment to ensure we’re not delaying their chance at a forever home.
- Adoption Counseling: We help match you with the right pet for your lifestyle.
